Today we’re bringing you a message about heartbreak and healing from internationally renowned writer Rania Naim. Rania has moved people all across the globe with her words on healing, self-discovery, and finding the love you deserve.
When you heal your heart, you think twice before giving it away again. You don’t just jump right in like you used to anymore. You don’t take the same risks because you know how long it took you to heal your heart alone without anyone’s help. It wasn’t healed by someone else, you didn’t find the kind of love that would help your heart trust again, so you had to do it all by yourself. When you heal your heart, you don’t allow anyone in unless they’ve gotten through all the closed doors and all the walls.
When you heal your heart, you don’t act impulsively anymore. You put your heart on a leash so it doesn’t run away again to the wrong people. You take things one step at a time because you’re not ready to trust again so easily. You’re not going to repeat the same mistakes and you’re not going to let anyone get away with mishandling your heart again. When you heal your heart, your main goal becomes protecting it from people, heartbreak, and deceit.
When you heal your heart, love may not be a priority anymore and you may find comfort in being alone, away from anything that could cause your heart pain, because you learned the hard way that no one will take care of your heart the same way you would. You learned the hard way that your heart is not for everyone. When you heal your heart, you become picky with who you open up to. You no longer pour your heart to people because more often than not, they don’t appreciate it. You stop saying too much because no one really hears you.
When you heal your heart, love may seem hard to find, but you know that this is what’s best for you because you don’t want any kind of love and you don’t want to fill a void. You didn’t heal your heart so you can give it to someone who is going to break it again, you healed it so you can give it to someone who will keep it safe and intact. You healed it so you can pick people out of conviction, not out of need. You healed it so you can wait for the right person and a healthy connection. When you heal your heart, you don’t give it away so easily because now you know what it deserves, and unless you find that, your heart will only belong to you.
