This Is Your Sign To Let Go ✨
Letting go means understanding that holding too tightly to something can mean holding yourself back.
Welcome to the Collective World X Thought Catalog Newsletter. Collective World is a one-of-a-kind creative network powered by the minds and voices behind The Thought & Expression Company. We’re so glad you’re here.
Here’s the funny thing about letting go: It can be the hardest thing you’ve ever done while simultaneously being the best thing you could’ve ever done for yourself.
Letting go means recognizing that something that once brought you happiness—that was perhaps even good for you—no longer does in the same way. It doesn’t mean it was any less important to your life once upon a time, it just means you’re growing.
Letting go means understanding that holding too tightly to something can mean holding yourself back. Because when we’re unwilling to relinquish our grip, we’re more likely to resist change, to reject the things that threaten our hold, to give up on the things that feel out of our grasp. As Filiz Behaettin put it, “If something does not serve you and your higher self, then we must let it go.”
Letting go means knowing that there is more for you out there, even if you aren’t exactly sure what that is. Letting go means trusting that even when it hurts, it’s going to be okay.
Because it will be—okay, that is. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that when we’re grieving over finally loosening our grip. You have to give yourself time, darling—to heal, to move on, to grow. You have to trust in the process. And you have to trust your intuition when it tells you it’s time to move on.
If there’s something that you know is holding you back but you’ve been too afraid to do anything about it, this is your sign you’ve been waiting for. This is your sign to let go.

Love all those quotes, but Regina Spektor's really resonates with me. I'm always waiting for the perfect conditions when the imperfect ones are what make us.
